A Game About Ghosts
Privacy policy
Hunter's Entertainment. Last updated 4 November 2026.
About this policy
This policy covers A Game About Ghosts, the Android game on Google Play made by Hunter's Entertainment, a Darkstar Technologies studio. It explains what the game keeps, where it keeps it, and how you can delete it.
DOAP hosts this page for the studio. None of the game's data comes to DOAP.
On your phone
The game saves these on your phone so you can carry on where you left off:
- the stars and best score for each scene you've played
- the nights you've won Tonight's challenge (your kori are worked out from these and your stars)
- your settings: language, sound volumes, battery saver, and whether you chose to use Google Play Games
This stays on your phone. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, removes it.
If you sign in with Google Play Games
Signing in is your choice, and the whole game works without it. Until you choose to sign in, nothing leaves your phone. If you do sign in:
- Your achievements and your leaderboard score (the best scores of all ten scenes added up) go to Google Play Games. Other players see your Play Games name and score on the leaderboard, depending on your Play Games profile settings.
- The game makes a Unity player account, linked to your Play Games account, and backs up the progress listed above to Unity Cloud Save. That's how your progress comes back on a new phone. The account has a random Unity player ID. The game doesn't ask for your email address.
- The Google Play Games software also sends Google its own diagnostic data about how it is working.
Everything is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Who handles it
Google runs Google Play Games, under the Google Privacy Policy. Unity Technologies runs Unity Authentication and Cloud Save for us, under the Unity Privacy Policy. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
What the game doesn't do
- no ads, and no use of your phone's advertising ID
- no in-app purchases: kori are earned by playing and can't be bought
- no analytics or tracking
- no location, contacts, camera or microphone
- no chat: players can't message each other
Deleting your data
In the game, Settings > Delete cloud save deletes your cloud backup and your Unity player account. You can also ask us by email. How to delete your account has the steps, and says what's deleted and what's kept.
Children
The game is made for players aged 13 and over. Signing in uses a Google account, under Google's own age rules. If you think a child has signed in and you'd like their data deleted, email us.
Changes and contact
If the game starts keeping anything new, we'll update this page and its date first.
